Week Fifty Three
A Week Fifty Three (53) comes around every five or six years depending on the vacation or timeshare resort in question and is primarily designed to rectify the timeshare calendar. For example, in a standard timeshare calendar week one is usually the first week of the year depending on the change over day, as the change over day does not change the week one would progressively move forward as far as the date is concerned. Once it has moved as far forward in date terms, but not become New Year week the resort calendar will add a Week Fifty Three to push the date of the week one forward again and make the date for the week fifty two New Year week again. The use of a Week Fifty Three will depend on the vacation or timeshare resort in question; in some cases the resort developer will have rights to the usage of Week Fifty Three, and in other cases the usage will be offered, or in some cases contracted to the owner of week fifty two. If the owner of week fifty two is offered the usage, he will have to pay in most cases a maintenance fee to take up use of it. In a very few cases the usage of a Week Fifty Three is offered to the owner of week one and the same would apply as far as the payment for usage is concerned.
