Trading Power
The term Trading Power is used by most Exchange Companies to gauge the desirability of a given vacation or timeshare ownership. Trading Power is awarded on many different factors such as; season, week type, usage type, unit type, size of accommodation and resort quality e.g., resort facilities, unit facilities and location of resort. Trading Power is also greatly based on supply and demand. Here are a few examples of highly demanded timeshares: -
- a resort which is located within a capital city such as London, New York or Paris
- a skiing resort in winter which is located near a popular skiing destination such as Aspen, Bad Gastein, Schladming, Tignes, Vail or Whistler.
- a resort located within easy access to a major tourist attraction such as Disney World in Orlando, the Grand Canyon or the Great Wall of China
- a resort which is located in an area which has an all year round climate such as the Canary Islands, Mexico or Australia
If you are trading your week within a points program, a highly demanded timeshare week that has a higher trading power than others will be afforded a higher number of points.
