Time Bands or Time Division
The term Time Bands or Time Division, denotes the season, or time of year of a vacation / timeshare ownership. Exchange companies' award trading power on a number of factors, Time Band or Time Division is one of the deciding factors in awarding trading power. For example, if a property is located within an area which has an all year round climate, or a Capital City like London, it will more than likely be high in demand, and therefore be in a high, or red Time Band or Time Division, and cost more in most cases to purchase. However if a destination has an off season or a period of the year which is lesser demanded, for example a winter month in Ibiza, the demand will be low and in turn the trading power and Time Band or Time Division will be lower. The lower Time Bands or Time Division periods of the year are typically much cheaper in cost.
Exchange Companies and many developers use a colour-coded system (see Seasons) to denote the Time Bands or Time Division based on demand and desirability of a specific ownership or interval week.
