Space Banking
The term Space Banking is tantamount the same as banking, when an owner of either a vacation or timeshare property Space Banks their ownership with an exchange company. If an owner is unable to use their ownership in one particular year, or would like to go back to their home resort and they are owners of fixed week timeshare, or if they would like to travel to another destination other than their home resort, they may Space Bank their ownership and exchange.
Once the ownership is Space Banked with an exchange network, it is important to remember that the owner has passed the rights and usage for that given year to the exchange company, to enable another member to access their week. Essentially the ownership has been stored for usage at a later date within the exchange companies' portfolio.
