Red Week
The term Red Week refers to a vacation or timeshare week, which is within the Red Season of an exchange companies program. A Red Week would usually be associated with a high season period of the year, for example, New Year in Scotland or July the 4th in the US, and to date both of the two largest timeshare exchange companies still use this term to refer to high or peak season periods of the year. However, since the conception of the timeshare program, some developers have chosen to use their own colour codes for seasons at their home resorts. For example, at the Marriott Marbella Beach Resort the peak season weeks are nominated as Platinum time with the home resort, and Red within the Interval International exchange program. Red Weeks are usually more expensive than any others due to the period of the year that they cover, and the trading power that they are given through the exchange networks program.
