Interval
The term Interval is used in the timeshare industry to describe the length of vacation / timeshare ownership purchased within a specific agreement. In most cases this will be a period of a week, or 7 days vacation / timeshare ownership. The original agreement will have an assigned interval (week), usually numbered between weeks 1 to 52, and even 53. You may also have a check in / out day allocated with the interval specified on your contract.
It is widely believed within the timeshares industry that Interval International got their name from the word, so that to empathise with the vacation / timeshare owners, who wish to exchange their Interval ownership.
