Guest Cerificate
The Guest Certificate is a term used when a friend or family member is using your exchange company membership. A Guest Certificate is issued by either the exchange company that you are a member with, or the vacation / timeshare resort where you are a member. This will depend on whether your friends and family are visiting your home resort, or using your exchange membership to go elsewhere. This is just another example of how flexible your vacation / timeshare ownership has become.
Here are a few examples of Guest Certificate options available to the owner. For owners who would like a friend or family member usage of the ownership without them using their banked week, Resorts Condominiums International (RCI) run the Extra Holidays or Vacations program (see extra holidays or vacations). You could also gift or rent your ownership to a friend or family member through the Guest Certificate program. RCI's website states the following information regarding Guest Certificates: -
- Your guests will enjoy the same great accommodations as a regular timeshare vacation, but you can still keep your vacation time.
- If your guest can travel quickly, Last Call vacations provide a full week at a resort for as little as $199 USD. Again, you don't have to use your deposited week or RCI Points
Or if your unable to use your banked holiday or vacation through the exchange networks program, RCI's website suggests the following options available through the Guest Certificate program: -
- Weeks Members can give their Exchange Week along with a Guest Certificate.
- RCI Points Members. Members can also use their points to Exchange, and send a guest along with a Guest Certificate.
As you can see there are many ways of using the Guest Certificate program, whether you are looking for addtiional time for family and friends to come along with you on holiday or vacation, or just on the occasion when you are unable to use your ownership.
