Bonus Weeks
The term Bonus Weeks is generally used when developers or exchange companies have additional weeks available which are unused or as incentives to the timeshare owners as an extra vacation or holiday. In additional they can also be purchased through the exchange companies or developers at a minimal cost.
When Bonus Weeks are offered to timeshare owners, they are often offered in conjunction with an exchange through the exchange network to extend your stay; these are sometimes refered to as 2 for 1 deals, or 3 for 1 deals, depending on the offer at that time. Bonus Weeks are sometimes refered to as "Getaways" or "Late Breaks" depending on the exchange network which you are a member with, they are offered at a nominal fee and are usually unsold weeks or excess inventory. Some Bonus Weeks will come with restrictions and it is best to confirm this when you are booking with the exchange network.
